2 lbs beef or pork sliced thin (this is beef)
2 part soy sauce( to taste)
1 part vinegar (to taste)
1/2 medium onion
4 garlic cloves (diced)
1/2 bag of mixed vegetables (frozen-smaller bag or box)
2 tsp. achote powder
1cup of water
Marinade meat in pot using ; vinegar; onions; garlic; black pepper. cook on medium heat. when meat is tender, in a cup mix the achote powder w/ the cornstarch, add the cup of cold water to the achote/cornstarch mixture and stir. when the cornstarch is fully dissolved and meat is at a medium simmer, pour achote/cornstarch water in pot, and stir. bring the heat to medium high heat. when you see that it has thickened, turn off the stove, and add 1/2 bag of mixed vegetables and stir. cover and let the steam in the bisteak cook the mixed vegetables
***NOTE: you may use frozen peas or frozen green beans if you prefer.
enjoy w/ steamed white rice or steamed brown rice
