Ingredients

Reyeno Pahbu (Chamorro Stuffing for Turkey)

18 lb. Turkey is Good Size

1 18lbs. Turkey

1 Pk. Of Margarine (slice into cubes)

2 Tsp. salt

1 tsp. black pepper

2 Tsp. garlic powder

Obtain a saucer bowl put salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix it together put aside. Take slice margarine and rub it all over the turkey in and out. Then take the mixture of salt and rub it all over the turkey outside and inside of the turkey set aside on tray.

Prepare the stuffing for the turkey:

Ingredients for stuffing:

1 package of ground beef (sautee with onions and garlic cook on stove top for 25 minutes and drain it on strainer.)

1 chopped onions

3 potatoes (chopped and fried till golden brown)

1 loaf of bread toasted and cubed

2 small Jars of diced pimientos (drained)

2 small can of chopped olives (drained)

1/2 of small jar of sweet relish (drained)

6 small packages of raisins

1 Tbs. Salt or to your taste

2 Tbs. Black pepper to taste

1 Tsp. accent to blend taste (optional)

2 Tbs. Garlic powder

3 Cans of evaporated milk

(note; May add 3 sausage slice, 1 cup shredded Cheese, 3 eggs boil & chopped)

Cooking Instructions

Mix all ingredients together and stuffed turkey with mixture in the neck and the inside of the turkey. Left over stuffing put in grease foil and roll it then twist the two ends of the foil. Bake for 1 hour on another tray. Bake the turkey at 400* preferably in an oven bag. Or bake on a try and cover the breast with foil. Bake for 3 hours then remove foil cover and let it bake for 1 more hour. Baste with butter every hour when everything is golden brown remove from oven. Bake Turkey according to instruction on weight and stuffing.

How to make Gravy For Turkey:

2 Cup juice of turkey

1/2 Cup cornstarch diluted

1/2 Cup evaporated milk

1/2 Tsp. black pepper

1/2 Tsp. Salt or to taste (remember turkey juice has salt)

Boil the juice of the turkey on sauce pot, then pour diluted corn starch, and continue to stir until a little thick then add evaporated milk stir again till it blends. Taste if it is salty enough. If not add the tsp. salt,1/2 tsp. black pepper and stir. Then taste it again. If not enough salt, may add more to your taste.

Once it thickens then it is ready to serve, If too watery add more diluted cornstarch...

Note: now you can slice your turkey and put gravy on top of your turkey, steam white rice or mash potatoes. Enjoy for Thanksgiving or any occasion.

In the past I have used Ore Ida hash browns to substitute for the potatoes.. They brown easier.. Also, because a family member is allergic to raisins, I use granny smith apples or washington delicious (i prefer granny smith)
